Watertower Bible Church is an Independent Reformed church in the City of Moreton Bay in North Brisbane.

For a summary of our Beliefs, please see the dot points below.

For further information, or more questions, please refer to our Statement of Beliefs or contact our pastoral team.

  • The Centrality of the Person of Jesus Christ

It’s all about Jesus! We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, being born of the virgin Mary, fully God and fully man, living a perfect life, and in His death and resurrection. We rest on Him alone for salvation. Our pursuit is a close personal relationship with Him.

  • The Authority of the Bible

We believe in the inerrancy, infallibility and sufficiency of scripture. God’s infallible word is the final authority concerning faith, godliness, truth and morality, with every other authority being subservient to Scripture.

  • The Presence & Working of the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit, given to us by God, brings conviction of sin, regeneration, indwells, fills, comforts, guides and empowers us. We believe He is always at work in the life of the believer.

  • Prayer

We believe that every day, every activity and every venture must be saturated by prayer, seeking the Father’s heart and will in all that is done.

  • Unity in the Body of Christ

We don’t just seek to be merely a friendly church. We are a community who are determined to love, share, sacrifice, grow together and always keep a bond of peace as we keep Jesus at the centre of all we do.

  • Discipleship

We have a commitment to the seeing the intentional growth and maturing of every individual, and also recognise the Scriptural mandate that says we should be disciples who make disciples.

  • Evangelism & Missions

We believe that evangelism and missions are not an event, rather a lifestyle, and that out of the overflow of our love for God comes the desire to be obedient to His words and spread the Gospel of His Kingdom locally and globally, demonstrating the Gospel in word and deed.

  • Imago Dei

We believe that each person is made in the image of God and that status, gifting or abilities do not determine the intrinsic value of each individual.

  • Generosity & Service

We believe that our lives should be marked by both generosity and service, in all things and on all occasions.
